We Will Dance

I've watched the sunrise in your eyes
And I've seen the tears fall like the rain
You've seen me fight so brave and strong
You've held my hand when I'm afraid

We've watched the seasons come and go
We'll see them come and go again
But in winter's chill, or summer's breeze
One thing will not be changin'

We will dance
When the sun is shining
In the pouring rain
We'll spin and we'll sway
And we will dance
When the gentle breeze
Becomes a hurricane
The music will play
And I'll take your hand
And hold you close to me
And we will dance

Sometimes it's hard to hold you tight
Sometimes we feel so far apart
Sometimes we dance as one
And feel the beating of each other's heart

Some days the dance is slow and sweet
Some days we're bouncing off the walls
No matter how this world may turn
Our love will keep us from fallin'

And we will dance
When the sun is shining
In the pouring rain
We'll spin and we'll sway
And we will dance
When the gentle breeze
Becomes a hurricane
The music will play
And I'll take your hand
And hold you close to me
And we will dance

The music will play
And I'll hold you close
And I won't let go
Even when our steps
Grow weak and slow
Still I'll take your hand
And hold you close to me
And we, will dance

Spring Cleaning.

Spent some time today cleaning up my social networking accounts. I realized that over time for one reason or another I've accumulated a number of people with whom I've never corresponded to even once after adding them (or that they've never replied to my hellos) so I guess it was time I removed them from my network. There are still some people there that fall into this category but they were just added recently so there's still a chance we might at least be acquaintances so I'll leave them there for now and hope to hear from them.

To those who have been removed, no hard feelings ya? It's just that, well, if we don't communicate then there's no point right? But that said, I won't hesitate to add you right back if you'd drop me a note.

Cogitation for the day.

"But whether absurd or not, people of faith believe and obey God".
I came across this sentence while doing my BSF homework for the week and it got me wondering, how do we define faith? Is it quantifiable? How big is big or how small is small? Is faith simply following without the need to understand why? Great men of the Bible like Abraham and Moses were cited as examples of faith in Hebrews 11. But a closer look reveals that these men of great faith stumbled as well with Abraham bearing a son with Hagar and Moses giving God excuses time and again when asked to confront Pharaoh.

So how is it that these men were called men of great faith? I've come to one truth. Obedience. In spite of their weaknesses they obeyed God and over the course of time this obedience forged within them an unshakable faith in Him who is Faithful and True.

Faith is spelled O.B.E.Y..

Cogitation for the day.

Do you marry the one you love or love the one you marry? A simple statement but with profound meaning. Which, pray tell, do you think will forge a marriage that will last a lifetime? For me, the answer is clear.

Who am I?

As I'm sitting here pondering these last few minutes of Christmas, this song by Casting Crowns came to mind. I'm always lost for words as to why God would send His Son to pay for my sins and why Jesus would so willingly give up His life for one as unworthy as me. And the answer I've found is not because of who I am but because of who He is.

"This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins." - 1 John 4:10 (NLT)

Introduction.

I've been putting off this blog thingy for awhile now so today's the day I thought what the heck, let's do something about this. So now begs the question... what the heck do I do?

I'm not much of a writer and never professed to be one. Most times I just keep my serious thoughts to myself. I guess you could say I'm your typical introvert (well maybe not THAT typical), an ISFJ by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator classification. But I'm not an introvert to the extent of living in a bubble. I mix around and I talk (and a lot if I might add) but just not to everyone. I've got to get to know you and you me first. For those of you who are fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to engage in a conversation with me you know what I mean.

So maybe that's why I've decided to do this blog thingy. I thought maybe it might be interesting if not for everyone then at least for myself to air my musings, to "talk" to anyone who might like to listen without having this getting-to-know-you-first barrier. Point to note though. I doubt very much if this blog will be updated on a frequent basis but hey, at least this is a start!
